In the old days, the TV got its content from the airwaves and the phone was connected to the wall. Now the phone gets its content from the airwaves and the TV is connected to the wall.
Always good to have at least one wall phone in case of a storm and/or low cell battery (or no cell at all!) and while I love my cable, I grew up with a huge monstrosity on my roof that gave a good picture when it felt like it
I remember when the local stations signed off the air at midnight and there was just a “test pattern” and a loud shrieking sound all night! Oh and the TV had dials instead of buttons — and no remote control! A person actually had to work for his/her TV entertainment!

I have a phone that is still connected to the wall. Does that make me a dinosaur?

Still got my rabbit ears, too. Wish analog was back, though. This digital is JUNK.

He said “dinosaurs”, not Dinah Shore.
