FYI, Satchel did blow his stack several years ago and gave Bucky a good scare, but soon things went back to the good old same old, same old. I’ve stopped reading this strip again, because in my humble opinion, it always the same old, same old with only Philip-Glass like variations. And try as I might, I usually can’t endure Glass for more than a few minutes. I should have stopped reading “Get Fuzzy” before slogging through all that fish-flavored cereal while eating breakfast.

Wait. Bucky was right. Batman IS insane. “Criminals killed my parents so I must dress as a giant bat and beat them up, all of them everywhere.” Not the most rational decision there. (Yes, yes I’ve seen the movies and read the comics and know he has reasons for the Halloween costume … but it’s still not rational.)

Reminds me of the scene from Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey. It’s nighttime, while the family is on their way to the farm. Chance (voiced by Michael Fox) has his head out the window, the wind holding his ears up like wings. He says "ahhh! Batdog!)
