Petey: ORNKH ORNKH ORNK HA HA Hoo eeeee mheeeeegha hoov kah PHEW. Alice: That was the worst song ever. Petey; Daddy asked me "How's school?" I couldn't think of anything to say. So I was trying to come up with an answer using my oboe. Alice: Why not just bang pot lids together? At least that's fun to watch.

I like Alice’s take on it.

“Ornkh” is the best sound that has ever been spelled.

You could draw up a Little Neuro, Petey.

I love the true-to-life trail of saliva coming from the end of the oboe.

Sounds like Yoko Obo.
Or maybe it’s just Jazz. ;-)

That’s right Alice, always make sure to steer us back to you, the center of our universe! Petey, neurotric, emotionally tortured, whatever, we love you!

Free Jazz? I wouldn’t listen if they paid ME!

Petey’s oboe didn’t make a single “Heeeenk” noise. Does that mean he’s getting better?

I’m a Jefferson Airplane/Dead Kennedys/Romeo Void (and, OK, Chris Isaak) San Franciscan. Don’t like the Grateful Dead, don’t like Journey, and I definitely don’t hang out in Jazz clubs. (I spend a lot of time in North Beach, but in an Irish pub.)
My tongue is in my cheek to the extent that I try to keep my vitriol entertaining, but my dislikes (and my likes) are real.

Love the spittle coming out of the oboe. I used to jam that same tune on my clarinet back in the 60’s. I think the neighbors paid my parents to make me stop.

I thought Petey could imagine and write stories?

Eldo: However, at my age I’m pretty set in my ways, so it’s not likely to be “a temporary thing.” (Besides, I’ve never claimed to be an “intellectual;” I’m a “smartass.”)
Donkey: Neither of us is gonna shed any tears over it…
Popeye: As I’ve said before, I’ve heard enough of the stuff I’m “supposed” to like. More than enough, unfortunately.
