More wisdom.

Alice helps Petey recognize that he has truly captured the essence of School already! Genius runs in the family.

Petey is a lot wiser than he thinks.

Brilliant! This one’s going to be immortalized.

“It’s frustrating and annoying and silly, but if I finish it, maybe at some point I’ll be kinda happy with it.” Classic words of wisdom. But not only do they describe school – they describe LIFE!

Now can you put that into words.

I wonder if God feels that way about creation in general?

I love how the tortured and often verbose Petey still says “daddy”.

Ah, Saturday morning wisdom—if only I had known when I was that age!

Good thing Loris isn’t there. We’d see MANY flying rubber bands.

I like how many here realized that it is a bit like life in general -and we all hope to be proud of the result when it’s done.

That is perhaps the most apt description of school I’ve ever heard.

Petey will do just fine in school.

The best description of school is “Hours of mind-numbing boredom, punctuated by moments of sheer terror.”

No, wait, that’s “War.”

Or maybe “Jazz.”

In-f-ing-credible!! Brilliant insight, brilliantly delivered. Wow. I love the expression in Petey’s eyes in panel 3 (plus the cross-hatching behind and on the chair that magically appears for the closeup, then disappears again from mind), and how it’s actually Alice’s brainstorm first. What a philosophical nugget here. Congratulations, Richard, you’ve outdone yourself (again!).
