I followed that link you posted afew weeks back to annie david42. I flash forward it to the ending; man, it was a heartbreaker. Little annie’s last illustration is frozen in my memory:(
In the last few days Tarzan changed from a tall kid to a young adult. Left to right dynamics still offers movie like continuity. These drawings are more inspired in Hal Foster’s than in Burne Hogarth which was the norm before.
Good evening Tarzanatics. Sorry to be tardy but tis the season for time consuming tasks around our home. -If I may, at this late hour, weigh in on the selection of favorite Tarzan comic strip/book illustrator … I vote for Joe Kubert. I will say, however, that Brune Hogarth was the best at composing and rendering action scenes. As for Tarzan book cover illustrator .. I vote for Frank Frazetta. All just my opinion, of course.
Who is the artist that did the slightly “fem” version of Tarzan with those large eyes and full lips on the title panel of this strip? I would agree with Sydman about Burne Hogarth being the “best” Tarzan illustrator, however I still prefer Joe Kubert’s interpretation via DC comics and Dark Horse reprints.

And where’s Katman and Aperson—all sleeping in their beds!! Amazing the muscles on Tarzan—I guess it must be the “Jungle Gym”.

Good morning, Tarzan is built more like a heavy weight lifter than a gymnast. Must be that ape diet

Hogarth is considered to have set the most artistic Tarzan ever. Foster adquired his maturity with Prince Valiant.
