One overlooked fire is the fact that retired teachers in Texas have not had a raise in the ten years he has been governor. This is what would happen if the states took over social security – no raise, no problem.
Perry IS marginally brighter than Bachmann, but not by much. HIs “ethics” on giving HPV shots was good, well, until you look at the $400 per shot cost, and the kickback from Merck. My insurance gets all the drugs from Merck, and WHAT A RIPOFF! It’s perfect proof why Republicans raped the pooch when they forbade “negotiating” drug prices on Part D.
@howgo zit: You must be right! Look at all the long lines of people just dying to get into the teaching business! I’ll bet you think it was lazy teachers that bankrupted our economy instead of those hard-working bankers. And don’t forget the bail-out money that the teachers got. Oh, yeah. You probably are pretty certain that the wealthiest country in the history of the planet should cut back on care of old people, health care, and education as a way to maintain our greatness.
