Ah, Francis. By far my favorite character.

Is THAT why Nate doesn’t draw comics any longer! Makes no sense to me.

At the very least they should remove “Aspiring cartoonist Nate Wright” from the “About Big Nate” para.

Dog lover that i am, i have to sympathize with Nate on this one. Although we have rescued a cat from irresponsible neighbors and it is not as bad as I had feared.

I know how you feel Nate. Even if you try to have good grades Mrs. Godfrey would never respect you. I guess that’s the reason why Jenny doesn’t like you.

In middle school, some teachers i knew were exactly like Mrs. Godfrey. But that was 2 years ago. I even knew kids who also behaved like Nate. It’s funny how you can compare fictional characters with real life people.

How DARE Francis suggest that Nate would own a CAT! What is he THINKING?!? ;-) How about “if you had 2 dogs, one of them was well behaved and one was peeing on the carpet and barking a lot…”

I have a teacher called Mrs. Godfrey. She is a little bit nicer than the one here.

Of course, Nate would consider himself the well-behaved pet and Gina the annoying one so Francis strikes out no matter what.

really francis, nate hates cats. you should have done it with dogs.

Bad metaphor, Francis. You should have said “if you had one dog that was well-behaved and the other was always pooping on the rug.”

I’m pretty sure Nate hates cats because one attacked him as he was a kid….

Yep. Nate can’t allow anything bad to be said about himself, no matter how true.

Love Francis in the last panel. And yeah, I remember a storyline where Francis and Teddy hypnotized Nate to find out why he hates cats, and a cat attacked him when he was five or something. I’m pretty sure there was a story like that.

ok, here’s one that nate would actually answer :if you had two dogs, one is well behaved and the other is just chewing your furniture up, which one would you like most?
