Good point, lwp. Her old acquaintances will yawn at the news, and any new lovers would take her as she is. Nothing has changed for Rozâ-coming out makes her neither more nor less loveable.

Is she going to change her mind in a few years and marry a guy, like Sheryl Swoopes did?
jgcp1 over 13 years ago
Leaving to one side the problems for military personnel that this policy change will inevitably cause, would YOU like to fly in a helicopter that was maintained by people whose minds were obviously on other matters (like this conversation) instead of concentrating on what they were supposed to be doing?

Call the Westies. Theyâll start a protest and her problems will be over.

What about the punchline which pokes fun at human beings having to âmarketâ themselves to the world that we live in. To have a public image. GT is getting us to look at that and hope we sayâŠWho Cares! Facebook must Die!

Way to go, Tex!

Jg, in my time in the military I found that NO ONE thought about their job 24/7. Or do you think a 19-25 year old straight guy is not going to be thinking about girls half the time heâs working on those choppers?

According to Senator Santorum, military personnel who are not married donât have sexâŠ. Of course Rick has never served in the military⊠Wonder what McCain did while he was in the military during Vietnam?

jgcp1â this is such a stupid remark I have to assume youâre a troll. Or else, you were never a man under 90. Or in a flight crew, or a mechanicâs pit, or assembly line, or around the water cooler, or the directorsâ dining room, or an all-boy catechism class. Last I heard, studies showed that across the board, post-puberty males think about sex every five minutes.

Actually, under the âCheney/Rumsfeldâ military model, CONTRACTORS would be doing all helicopter maintenance, and support, even in combat zones. We wouldnât be worried about âmilitaryâ personnel "orientationâ. The contracting model goes back to Viet Nam era in fact when stateside contractors did the (poor) maintenance on our birds. âHalliburton helosâ ARE the corporate objective.

I thought Mel was of the flight-line after being promoted? How did she get away from her desk job?

Fourth panel: Whatâs with the marks on Rozâs cheek and arm?
Kirk Sinclair over 13 years ago
@Stephen G â itâs called âdirtâ. Comes from working on machinery, as these two evidently are doing.

if you really want to get the slant on these toons, go to the .com site for it. trudeau is just plain strange. he even hides the turkey-flab on his chin in his photos. heâs so far Left heâd scare Lenin into the GOPâŠ.
Kirk Sinclair over 13 years ago
âTrudeau is so far leftâŠâ â right, and Mike Doonesbury â the cartoonâs namesake â happens to be a Republican. It sounds like you donât really know what left really means. If I had turkey flab Iâd probably want to hide it too.

Drome, neither Strauss-Kahn nor Clinton has criminally assaulted a woman. I do not necessarily approve their relations with women, but they have not been found to have committed criminal assault.
