A few scrapes, bumps and bruises, but NO fatalities, so all in all a good day.

Your dog is handsome.Your wife is pretty.Your daughter (from what I could is) is beautiful...you’re a lucky dude...I agree those stupid retractable leashes should be illegal.

If you think retractable leashes are no good, you’ve never seen me use one. I’ve got the fastest lock thumb in the East. Snap! Zing! It’s like a symphony. ’Course, I can only use it on the little dog. Our big dog (130 lbs) gets the five foot non-retractable.

Made the mistake of bicycling with our dog on a leash. Not good since he wasn’t trained to do so.

Ooh! I trained my dog years ago to run with me on my BMX bike. I had her 16’ retractable leash hooked with a kayaking paddle biner to the front of the bike. It worked like a charm- we rode trails and went all over the park. Til one day she ducked sideways after a squirrel while I was jumping off a curb. The two don’t mix. I couldn’t recommend the activity for anyone who doesn’t want to sharpen their wits and reaction time. I couldn’t do it any more myself, but man, that was great fun.

No problem like that at my house. We have two very well behaved English Bulldogs, ( Otto and Zelda ) my five year old granddaughter can hold a leash in each hand and they never give her any trouble.

I had one of those, but it had a thumb brake on it. I got pretty adept at bringing the pooch up short.

That’s a big happy dog. .I’m so used to seeing people here ignore the leash your dog bylaw. Except for the pits and owners that have not been trained. .But I have met dogs like Dozilla. My friend has two of them. One will sit quietly, right behind me, at my heels. Patiently waiting to be noticed. Of course I trip over him!
