Looks like Gil’s enjoying the coffee. And no wonder — it’s mountain grown Folgers. Mrs. Abro made lousy coffee before consulting her neighbor, Mrs. Olsen. Mrs. Olsen pulled some fresh-baked cinnamon rolls out of the oven and told Mrs. Abro how to make a great cup of coffee. But when it came to Brody, Mrs. Olsen was no help at all.
Gil just wants to know what meds to use to get the kid suited up and on the field. Gil will soon ask if it’s okay to blindfold him and lead him out and just let him “kick a field goal or two.”

And then seeing the Colts get embarrassed 62-7 on TV just broke that poor boy’s heart again! Sob!

I like how they employed the “under the desk cam” in P2. Very arty.

Gil looks real interested in P1. Hope that coffee is strong or he’ll be out in no time.

At this point I think Gil is beginning to reconsider that retirement he was eligible for in 1993.

The book was, of course, a biography of Jan Stenerud.

It was good that Mrs Abro knew how much Gil LOVES his coffee. While she’s taken a “normal” cuppa, she gave GIl his in a soup bowl.
