Maybe Baboo arrived as the robo-bee was entering its robo-hive to make robo-honey (referred to as 10W-20 to you humans) and the two of them just naturally got it on (as bears are known to wear motor oil more often than they are to eat it). On the plus side, flying, stinging bears would be a great band name. Theyāre also easier to hit with a flyswatter.
I must admit, I didnāt see this coming. The important question that needs and answer is: is Baboo the boy or the girl? The only other āBabooā I know of is Charley Brown, but I seriously cannot imagine the coupling going in that direction. Or the other, come to think of it. Never mind. You should have ignored this comment.
Itās not what you think. The bee and bear are negotiating a profit-sharing deal. Bear locates flower beds, provides security. Bees meet production goals, sell honey to station.
Letās analyze this logically: the worker bees, most likely to be buzzing around the hive, are sterile females, so thereās no danger of bear-bee hybridization. The queen bee would be deep inside her hive, protected by her drones and worker bees, so the bear would have a heck of a time getting to her, but it is possible if they like each other. The only other option are the drones, who are males capable of reproducing with the queen, but they, too, would be deep inside the hive. Hence, the answer is yes, the bear is either a male or a female. However, cross-polination between the two species is physically impossible . . . except in comicland.

The robotic bee must be anatomically correct.

Although my bee hive took damage, the bees won in the end. I never thought black bears could move that fast!

I knew all that hullabaloo about banning DDT would come back to bite us in the ass eventually!

Youāre right, of course, Newenglandah. This was just the latest in a long line of recent mistakes.

I think all Baboos, real, imagined, on this planet or elsewhere, are in the running. So far, no ārealā Baboo has come forth.
