Looking over the strips, it strikes me that Liz is amazingly like Lucy in Peanuts. She is a very, very unhappy person. She has obviously never realized, like Joyce Meyer says, that your unhappiness is a choice that you make. Like Lucy, it is not enough that she is unhappy; she wants and needs and must have everyone to be as unhappy as she is. If she were a real person (and I suspect that she is modeled after SOMEONE that Mr. Stein knows), I’d have to put her on my prayer list.
I haven’t been following this comic for very long (okay, less than a week). Is this the only part that you all dislike? I don’t think it’s too terrible. What’s wrong with taking a break from technology every once in a while? Sure, he can use the computer to do his homework, and the adults to do their job, but other than that, is it really necessary every single moment, every day?
@gobblinup-Go back and read through the Halloween strips. She essentially threw out Nate’s trick or treat candy so she wouldn’t be tempted to eat, while being holier than thou about treats.

What a control freak. I feel sorry for her family!

I’m starting to like Liz less and less. Mr. Stein, I suggest some Luann-style character development.

His screen is frozen.

I’m on the verge of giving up on this strip. The mother’s continuing control-freakery is just so unappealing.
