Everyone should write letters and send cards. It is more personal than emails. Not only that, I love stamps. I have enough to last me forever. I do not think what I do will save the post office’s problems, however.
For once I agree with Nicole. The USPS is a Constitutional monopoly. It doesn’t have to make money. Unlike certain other programs, Congress has the Constitutional power to subsidize it. It’s better if it makes money, however. They do have some innovative programs. For instance, when I return a Blockbuster DVD, Blockbuster is notified and sends the next DVD when the envelope is scanned at the Post Office. I thought that was cool.
