Adam: Your helmet needs a face mask. Clayton: Aw, I want some scars. They'll give me character. Adam: Character? I've had my nose broken three times and it's only given me sinus trouble. Clayton: And a place for the family and neighbors to stay dry under during a rainstorm.

Face masks are mandatory for all youth hockey leagues including high school and (I believe) college. Most players in adult leagues wear them, too.

I got wet the last time, Clayton, so it isn’t really that big.

Clayton, you could also lose teeth. That might give you character, but at the cost of handsomeness.
