This cartoon is pertinent for my rant & rave against the appalling treatment the South African government recently gave the Dalai LamaUnder pressure from the Chinese, the South African government hemed and hawed about providing the Dalai Lama a visa for his visit to SA to celebrate Desmond Tutu’s 80th birthday. Of course, they claim the Dalai Lama cancelled his visit and therefore they did not deny the visa, technically. But he cancelled the visit because the visa wasn’t forthcoming.Useless pricks.Know what? I love the ol’ Arch Bishop. Now there’s a Christian with a capital C.South Africa would like to be part of the BRICS, i.e Brazil, Russia, India, China & South Africa but to be honest, it should step down from its aspirations and admit it is the BRIC nations without the “S” since it is the “C”’s lackey.
