Bucky: Who is this "moth man" you're so afraid of? Satchel: Well, he has red, glowing eyes, ten-foot wings, and wherever he goes, chaos follows. Bucky: So he does exist? Satchel: Some people say he's just an urban legend, but he's been seen in West Virginia. Bucky: Clearly he's no urban legend, then. Satchel: He isn't? Bucky: No, he sounds like more of sub-urban legend. Dare I say, maybe even a rural legend. Satchel: Ohhhh, that sounds scarier.

Okay let’s not start “dissing” on West Virginians. And no, I’m not from there, but that’s some very pretty country, with a lot of very intelligent people living there. Now the Appalachians . . . :-D

Because they’re from West Virginia, silly…….A.Ficionada about 13 years ago
Other rural legends: the abominable snowman, sasquatch. Definitely an over-looked genre. The urban legend gets all the fame.
