Caulfield: Eat a live frog first thing in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day... -Mark Twain Although throwing up a frog is probably close enough... -My dog Frazz: Mrs. Olsen has a point. We don't know for sure Twain said that, and dogs can't talk. Caulfield: Let's not bog down insight with details.

As usual, Caulfield has a point. It is usually best not to bog down insight with details.

Caufield seems to be a pretty good artist……but where’s the frog the dog is horking up? Speaking of details….
Olddog1 about 13 years ago
Apparently Caufield was able to infer the intensity of the situation from the dog’s demeanor.

But then again don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story

You’re pretty good when you warm up with a riposte to Twain. Good conversations…sometimes have to leap a hundred years to get a decent reply when one guy is real quality…

What I wouldn’t give for a time machine to go back and hear one of his many lectures. Only the ones suitable for polite company were written down, and according to some accounts, 1601 wasn’t even close to how hilariously bawdy the man could get, given the right audience.

Caufield more time at the Library, not Twain but Chamfort “A man must swallow a toad every morning if he wishes to be sure of finding nothing more disgusting before the day is over”

I’ve always loved this frog quote, although I’ve heard it as “nothing worse will happen to either of you …”..Caulfield has quite an interesting take on it, too—and I have to agree with him. Love his artwork on the board, too..Fun comic today.

My source says it was WC Fields who said it.
