Look what I got, dad! A whole blank book! I'm writing a great novel! I've written four pages, I've got forty-six more to go. I can't wait to see how it turns out! Eddie, you don't write a novel by starting on the first page and going and tell you get to the end... That's how you read a novel. Hahahahaha that's silly, dad! I never read a novel in my life!

Where you start writing would have to be the start somehow, and eventually you would get to the end.

Spoiler Alert! The ending to the story." And then there was a huge explosion, and everyone died." The End.C’mon he’s a six year old boy, did you expect " They all lived happily ever after"?

A friend of mine would always read the last chapter first so she would know that everything turned out okay. Her husband took to tearing out the last chapter before she could read it.
Do I have to tell you how that ended?

IT warms to me my cockles… I NO I don’t mean my twig and berries!(I thought Grandpa trying to explain what cockles were, would be an interesting Buckets cartoon! LOL)

I’ve often thought that Grandpa should try to determine whether someone who commits a dastardly act is a Dastard… and whether calling someone a Dastard would get you in trouble for cussin’.

I heard this phrase once- “Oh, yeah, I LOVE to read. ‘People’, ‘Us’, you name it.”

@Beviek – so right. Silly, Silly Dad!!!.Novels always start where they should start and end when they get to the end. Eddie already knows that. Its the in between parts that he doesn’t know.
