Have 2 cats 1 dog. cat;s bowl is always filled, then refilled along with the dog in early am but all wet food so come 5:30 my blue rattles the door to let me know..hubby laughs as i clap my hands and they all come running… love my cats….
two cats, one dog. have to separate them when I’m at work so dog has access to dog door and the cats do not, so two water bowls. First thing when I come home the dog goes and drinks the cat’s water and the cats go in the kitchen and drink out of the dog’s water. ???
Got a stray we’ve raised and she’s like that. Could have food in her plate but if it’s not full she meows for more.I try to remind her that we could’ve left her out there in the parking lot where we found her but she totally ignores me.
We have two black cats, hekle and jekle. They have four bowls, two in the play room and two in the upstairs hall, which is fenced off. Two litter boxes, one in each location. All of this to separate them from the three dogs. Have to leave the slider open during the day for the dogs, so the cats go to the play room for the day to keep them inside and away from the coyotes. Yikes! So far, I have been successful in keeping the chickens outdoors in their pen. Love my wife, obviously. dd
My deaf cat will knock the bowl off the window sill (90 yr old adobe, foot deep sills) when the its empty. Have to feed the cats there, dogs empty their bowl. If its on the floor is dog food.
My cat’s about 15 years old. We accommodate each other. If I get in real late, the next morning she’ll try to get some food once, but if I say “a couple hours”, she shuts up and watches the birds outside the window. But she gives me no mercy if she knows I’m well rested….Cats rule….

So Luddie is a ‘bowl half empty’ kinda kitty. I’d woulda thought otherwise, but I’m ‘bowl half full’ in my views.

I have enough trouble sleeping through the night w/o interruptions by cats – don’t miss that at all.

Janis isn’t in bed, Luddie should pick on her.

Use an automatic feeder. It’ll buy you extra sleeping time.

Arlo, you’re a grouch sometimes in the mornings. Cats need fed too.

Actually we GAIN an hour tonight — hope you haven’t re-set too many of your clocks yet, Night-Gaunt!

Sounds like my cat first thing in the morning. Bowl is still half full and squaking for more.
