No wonder I was allergic to the very idea of the film. I mean, aside from having studied theater history and seeing the theory to be nothing more than classist nonsense.
I know I’m probably going to get slammed for it, but here goes…I actually LIKE his movies! Everybody’s always criticizing them, but I think they are perfect to just disconnect for a couple of hours…Independence day, The day after tomorrow, 2012…I like them all!
when you deal with reality like aliens bombing the capitol or godzilla not being able to digest matthew broderick — well, thats fine. but this time the idiot has delved too far into fantasy land!
Mr. Emmerich also brought us such greats as “2012,” “10,000 BC,” “Stargate,” the 1998 version of “Godzilla,” and “The Patriot” (which is so “accurate” itself). Enough said.
If you want to see another grand bit of adaptation, read “The Lord of the Rings.” Nary an original theme in it, but extremely entertaining nonetheless.
My favorite Godzilla movie is the 1998 film, because it’s the only one that doesn’t look like it was intended to be a comedy. I saw Godzilla 2000, and the audience was belly-laughing through all the “serious” scenes.

Shakespeare’s plays were actually written by another man with the same name.

@motivemagusDigital Spy’s film critic Stella Papamichael has already called the film “a comedy of errors, but not as Shakespeare intended it”.

So Shakespeare wrote Emmerich?
There’s a new twist on the “Bacon wrote Shakespeare” controversy…

William Shakespeare was really two midgets standing on top of each other.

But if Shakespeare had never visited Bohemia, how did he describe its coastline so accurately?

Nonsense! If a doctor had written them nobody could have deciphered his handwriting!
