For your information, Gweedo Murray has been visiting at the Wolf Den for the last few days. He has behaved so badly that his South-40 is quite flayed… Give him a day or two to recover before administering further castigation.
More recent research indicates, however, that while the raised temperature of the bee ball contributes to the death of the hornet, it alone is not sufficient to kill the hornet. The bee balls also produce a much higher level of carbon dioxide which, combined with the increased temperature, contributes to the hornet’s death. – Wikipedia
Teresa, you know how much I love FA and Frog Blog. If, however, you insist on continuing to publish pictures of bees, wasps, and hornets, I will have no choice but to scream like a little girl.
OH MY GOODNESS! A few hours ago, I was telling my co-worker about the Manhattan Mini Storage ad that Teresa has so kindly placed on FB this morning. It was the very first picture I took with my phone when I moved to NYC (in 2005). Ah, memories!I was also telling my co-worker how much I love the MMS ads because the topics can cause much discussion, depending on who’s around. For example – I took a picture of their new ad on Sunday night, which is text only and says, “RICK PERRY: THE VOICE IN YOUR HEAD IS NOT GOD.”I’m thinking it. I’m just glad someone is saying it! :)

Not to pick nits, but that little critter appears to be a squirrel monkey… Its front-facing eyes are decidedly simian.

They resemble primitive percussion instruments-played by the folks at B.C. comics, or Alley Oop and his buddies.
