It’s pretty disgraceful to fawn on a fiddler…but some real respect, not just for celebrity, but for expert behavior…that’s where others’ better values, like practice and persistence…are worth recognizing…

Smithereens is a pretty damn good band, seen them in concert a couple times. I’ve played them a couple times over the last few days, thanks to Scott.

Winslow must have been too busy occupying Wall Street.

my band gigged with them a few times in the 80s. first saw this strip last year in the austin paper when i was there for sxsw. less hamhanded the mallered filmore (sp?)

mallared? fillmore? anyway, make the protagonist a cute, nonwhite lil girl. canny move. didn’t realize winslow was a coyote pup from seeing the strip without the “about” here. though he was a cute lil kitten.

I met him at my niece’s wedding 19-20 yrs ago. He is or at least was married to her husband’s sister. At the time I didn’t even know who the Smithereens were. I started to listen to them and really enjoy their music.

Maybe you could send him some " Bloody Roses" addressed to “behind these walls of sleep”
