Petey: Mom! Most of the portable classrooms at school got towed away! It turns out they were empty! Mom: Really? Petey: One had some librarians squatting int it. Another had been made into a fort by feral kindergartners. Now they're gone and my classroom is easy to find. But it's like a lonely, haunted shed on a vast prairie. Mom: Sounds conducive to learning!

No distractions, Petey. Feral kindergarteners, indeed!

I wondered what had happened to all those laid-off librarians.

Those feral kindergartners aren’t going to abandon the fort without a fight.

“Haunted shed on the prairie?” I loved that show!

Madeline is pretty blasé, isn’t she? I guess she is used to Petey and his vivid take on reality.

Do you realize just a few years ago Earth’s population was 6 billion and now it’s seven?
That means there are 1,000,000,000 feral kindergartners out there.

This strip is conducive to learning. I have to look all those $50.00 words up that a four and six year old has in their vocabulary. LOL

We had a feral kindergartener in our maple tree for more than three years. We eventually befriended him and took him in to live as one of us. Now he owns the largest muffler shop in Plum Grove, Texas.

Feral kindergarteners that can’t escape? Sounds like an oxymoron to me!

I still want to know what mom’s doing with the wrench. Feral Kindergartners, great name for a rock band.

Constructive to the imagination…not so much for education.
docopenhaver almost 13 years ago
Actually, when I was in grade-school, they called it “KindergarDen”.
cdward almost 13 years ago
Both are correct spellings.
