Summer reading lists aren’t mandatory at my school, becauuse you get new teachers every year. Nate, OTOH, hasn’t graduated to 7th grade since 1991.Also, what is a social studies doing giving out book reports and reading lists?

I don’t think they hand out summer reading lists anymore

They don’t, thankfully. Summer should be entirely free of school unless specially chosen by or required for the student.
