    Most likely Baldo’s family either lived on this side of the border before it was annexed to the US or immigrated to the Southwest from the northern part of Mexico where there are no people of Mayan descent. He may have native American blood (judging by his hair type), but none of it Mayan.

    Lots of emotional folks will be unhappy to learn that the world isn’t ending. It’s a particular variety of egocentric arrogance…

    OF COURSE the world’s going to end and GOD returns…it’s MY lifetime, see?

    What pitiful pretense of personal importance…of course if it DOES happen in my lifetime, it’s quite OK with me, God.You’re the Boss.

    The Maya Calendar ended because the Maya civilization ended. There is no deeper meaning to it.
