I recall reading an article on the man who first created I.Q. tests. His reason for doing so was to determine which children required specialized teaching. Others quickly took the idea and used it as a means to exclude such children entirely. Not to mention those who wanted to say “My I.Q. is higher than yours, so therefore I am superior.”
