Frazz by Jef Mallett for August 18, 2002
Transcript:
"There you are!" "Bad day at the races, Clutch. I was absolutely awful." "Whoa. Hey. There's no such thing as a bad athlete." "A bad lawyer can ruin livelihoods." "A bad cop can ruin lives." "A bad chef can make you sick." "A bad driver can wipe out an entire family." "Hubbard Lake Triathlon" "But you have a bad race? Who cares? Life goes on!" "Sports are unimportant?" "Yes! And it's that total lack of importance that makes sports so incredibly important." "Hey! I thought I was the philosopher around here." "Frazz, consider what I do for a living." "They make you take philosophy in nursing school?" "No, you pick it up in the emergency room."

I love this one! Clutch is really profound here! (And I’ll say it again; I wish Mallette hadn’t phased him out of the strip.)
