Know what I’m thankful for? People who read and appreciate Agnes. It’s flattering and makes my job worthwhile. Thanks everyone. Enough of the mushy stuff. Let’s go eat!
I’m thankful that there are comic strips, and comic strips like “Agnes”, and comments forums, and comic strip artists like Tony Cochran who make the effort to drop into the comments forums.
Celery isn’t food…. its exercise equipment that you eat..Why do Americans have Thanksgiving so late in the year? We’ve had ours. Still eating turkey. Have had Halloween and Remembrance Day. Now, ready for the National Block Party. (Grey Cup weekend – for those not Canadian – that’s like the Super Bowl of Football up here). THEN we can do Christmas – and continue with the turkey..Hope Agnes gets Turkey for at least one holiday meal. I’m sure Grandma can make a bird last at least a month.

For the Paula Deen version of this recipe, dip in melted butter, and then coat in sugar. Several times.
