perceptor3 you’re not alone. It’s all over Daytona Beach, too. I like it but wish they would play more traditional songs. I’ve already had to much of “the Christmas Song” and not enough of “Mary, Did you Know.”
The most terrible thing is most of the good Christmas music was produced before the 1980’s. If you are not into Country you are pretty much out of luck for anything that is good and current.
One of the St. Louis stations started the day after Halloween! I truly miss my oldies. Last night they played a song called “Christmas Shoes”. Worst X-Mas song ever. I’m still bummed and turning to my CD collection.
That’s how I feel, too! It seems like every year has the exact same songs playing year after year for a month straight… it just gets old after a while. It’s like listening to the top 40 station all the time… but with Christmas songs, the play list doesn’t change every year where the top 40 station changes a little every week and is vastly different year by year. :-s
What bugs me is the artists who have to put their own “spin” on a song and absolutely ruin it. Tempo way to slow (or fast), off key or changing the words. Drives me nuts (and that’s not a long drive, it’s a very short putt).

Amen. Even worse, here in St. Louis, we have TWO radio stations doing all-Christmas music all the time.

Some of the Christmas music is great, but it’s tough listening to the ones that aren’t or the ones that are great but sang in a way that isn’t.
