Rip Haywire by Dan Thompson for November 29, 2011
Transcript:
RJ: Rip, I gotta tell you something! Rip: It's OK, kid, the writing's on the wall. I know about Cobra. Don't be mad at her. She needs to wear the unscrupulous pants in the relationships, and I betrayed her. RJ: How'd you figure it out? Rip: I can detect Cobra's subtle nuances. Like "dance with Linc tonight, destroy Rip with the news of my new man tomorrow" on this post-it . TNT: And yet NBC rejected all your "Matlock" scripts.

Linc is really a turncoat and Cobra is doing the double agent thing in order to expose him. Yeah, that’s it. Oh, please let that be it.

Veridian, I’m with you about the “Missing Linc” (HUGPOUNCESZZZ! to all!). Nice line about Cobra needing to wear “the unscrupulous pants in the relationship.” Wonder if any of this would have happened if Rip had manned up and asked Cobra to marry him? Then again, having been a fan of The Mickey Mouse Club and “24,” I’ve learned that anything can happen and usually does! :-)

I can see it now: Ben discovers the clues by dynamiting the crime scene, then at the Fulton County Courthouse he jumps the witness stand and puts the reluctant witness in a headlock. Best Matlock ever!

Yeah, what’s with this fear of marriage? It’s the best thing in the world, if you’re willing to work at it. If you’re not, you’ll never know what you missed.

So, the writing is on the wall, is it?Let’s give Rip time to rest up. He needs to be at his game when “Operation: Missing Linc” gets underway.
