Transcript:
TV: It's sunny and 82 today in Oahu!
Jimbo: Okay! Okay! I'm raising the thermostat three degrees!
Rose: How thoughtful, Jimbo...I didn't even have to ask.
@buddy NovinskiBecause MEN are NEVER cold! My ex used to drive me nuts by throwing off all the blankets at night we it was below zero out and our thermostat was always set at brr !
And women can wear dresses and skirts in the winter without complaining how? Could it be the (sorry ladies) fat layer that all women have under the skin?
@dkendrafBut when menopause is over, she’ll feel colder than ever, even in the summer. Especially if she’s one of the few who never experience noticeable hot flashes.
Disagree about women always being colder than men – my sister used to drive Dad nuts in the winter… he couldn’t figure out why our gas bill was so high, until he went into her room – and found the windows wide open – in January. My ladyfriend also is warm-natured. Me, I start pumping Freon® at about 72 degrees… and don’t “throw another log on the fire” until about 45 or so…
Mom sets the temperature at 65 degrees or less. In the middle of the frickening WINTER!!! Poor dad. No wonder he likes it when I come for a visit. The heat in the car gets used. The heat in the house goes up, sometimes up as high as 70 degrees.
I am the one who controls temps, and I do it based on how soon the temp will be tolerable without heat or AC (with forcasts and observation). I may actually wrap in a quilt like Rose for a while in AM until sun rises, but if it is promised to get into the 70s later (and not very cloudy) there is NO way I put on the heat- just add layers.

Just wait until she hits menopause and all those hot flashes; she’ll be begging him to turn it DOWN three more degrees. LOL

We have ours a 77 during the summer and 68 during the winter. During the summer we wear little and during the winter we wear more.
