@MHIC DHU GHAILL: The Uyghurs are an ethnic group in Xinjiang Province, China who are Moslem and speak a Turkic language and use the phonetic Arabic alphabet to write in their language rather than Chinese pictographs. In 1948 they numbered 98% of the population of Xinjiang but because of Han (majority Chinese ethnic group) migration, are now less than half the population. Like your ancestral Celtic language, the Uyghur language is also suppre4ssed. I’m not Uyghur, but I love their music and because I know Turkish, I can speak a little of their language.
