I remember when I still used to eat fast foods and they would ask if I wanted that stuff. I still order fries once in a while with a steak, but I want them dry (only salt); I hate even to get any au jus on them and would even have them replaced if many were wet (yes I’m that fussy)

Just because I mostly eat very healthy whole grains etc, doesn’t mean I don’t cheat sometimes too. I prefer not to eat a meal within 3 hours of bedtime either, but when my family visit we eat dinners around 6-8PM. I am on my own and cooking at home more than 95% of the time, so restaurant food hardly counts!

The few times I have fries, if I had my choice it would be in fresh lard and double fried as we did in the hot dog place where I worked when my kids were just starting school. (I’ve heard duck fat is even better).
