to Cooncat – yes, losing a beloved pet is one of the most difficult things in life to bear. Even if a person has children, it’s still like losing a child, very, very painful. Heartbreaking.

At one point we had 18 cats, a momma and 2 daughters each had a litter of 5 at the same time. Talk about a full house. We gave most of them to a friend that had a farm over run by mice.

The day my sister took her 15 year old dog to the vet, she came home to find a stray cat asleep on the dog’s cushion; They named her Sweetie, and she lives up to it.:)
