The blond thug was cut down by Paul with the snub-nosed revolver, probably a .38; Claude is going down from being nicked by the marquis’ blade in panel 3. And Lord Greystoke is dueling well, thank you….
This should all be wrapped up by next Sunday, along with the thugs’ bodies, of course! Good morning tribe-mates, must have been one heck of Saturday night party!
@ sisyphosYour welcome-and @katmanWhat was the name of that classic song you suggested a couple months back? Remember, when i asked about music from the 40’s. It will be the sunday song of the day:D
Good morning Tarzanatics … Todays strip is (IMO) another failed effort by Gray Morrow … I’ve never been a fan of the traced-photo school of comic strip art. Remember Hogarth’s action panels Tarzanatics???
@ APOI—Hal Foster, Burne Hogarth, Joe Kubert, Gil Kane, John Celardo (current daily artist), Russ Heath, etc. are all much better than Gray Morrows’ depiction of our favored tales!
With respect, this strip was done about two years before Morrow’s suicide. He was suffering from Parkison’s Disease and I think we are seeing his once considerable powers degenerating.
My favorite line from a WW2 era song … “There will be smoke on the water .. on the land and the sea … when the army and the navy … overtake the enemy.”
