The Buckets by Greg Cravens for December 31, 2011
Transcript:
How much Jell-O would it take to fill the pool? 8,400 boxes. Can we get 8,400 boxes of Jell-O? Sure. But first, we have to uncover the pool, drain it, scrub it 'til it's safe to eat from, fill it with distilled water... Never mind. Clever way to let him down easy. Not really. I'm just as lazy and disappointed as Eddie is.

How else would he know it would take 8400 boxes?

Oh, by the way, that’s why you learn math in school. So you can calculate volumes and such.

I had a friend in HS that lost a bet and had to jump into a kiddie pool of jello. Also, at my college every year we have what’s called the Jell-o Slide. You jump in a kiddie pool of jello, spread it all over yourself and then see how far down a slip-n-slide you can make it down. Good times!

Do you people not realize there is an INTERNATIONAL DATE line? For example, Kiribati is an island that was split by the International Date Line. They moved it recently, and they are now UTC+14… basically, if it’s 12am on Dec 31 in Hawaii, it’s 12am Jan 1 in Kiribati. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UTC%2B14:00

Also, I never said I was personally 6 hours into the New Year, just that Earth was. Now, currently Earth is around 12.5 hours into the new year.

Pools should come with the jello already in them.
