My very first car was a ‘64 Chevy Impala, black but no rag top.That picture doesn’t come close to looking like a 64 Impala.But I can understand his desire to own one. My fantasy is to own one again too.

Agree with all of the above. If C&C are going to have Baldo be so specific as to the car of his dreams, they should at least try to draw it. And, with the top down for full effect.

I’m more partial to the ’65 Impala.

I would like my uncles Land Rover that he bought new in 1951, I think.

I agree, for those of us that grew up with the 64 Impala that drawing of the car takes away the punch of the strip.

The wrong car style is a distraction, but it’s not the point of the strip…how often do we say, “If only I had this, I’ll never need anything else again!” And then our body reminds us that we do, in fact, have other needs, and always will. :J Do we ever learn? No.

Funny thing is, I know a kid exactly like that… he’s said on more than a few occasions, “if I had ___, I’d be happy”. What makes it even funnier is that almost like clockwork, after 2-3 weeks later, I hear “I’m bored with this”. LOL!!

Give him some PINTO beans and BARRACUDA ceviche.

I had a 63 Chevy Impala convertible and loved it. I also had a 64 Impala SS hard top and didn’t like the style. I rolled the 63 and ended up with the 64. Shame.

That’s a really nice car….
