This will happen again,,,and again,,,and again,,,and again……until one day, wonder of wonders, they will learn the meaning of “Share” and “Give for the joy of giving” and become the responsible people they will eventually be.

well – that was weird – comment posted without my click. Anyway, to finish my thought – seems to me that T-toys would be considered too dangerous for kids that age nowadays.

They have tinker toys in my kids’ preschool (age 4-ish). Nowadays, you can get the wooden ones, but apparently the plastic ones are more common.

I hate cleaning up after T toys and legos, but I love them as toys. I guess I just need to work more on my kids picking them up better

I thought that was her younger sister’s nickname for her, not her brother’s?

I had Tinker toys and an Erector set as a kid, and always kept the unused parts stored, instead of scattered all over the house. At one time, I even made a phonograph out of tinkertoys (Plus a sheet of paper, toothpick and a sewing needle. Worked great on the old 78s. As far as erector sets. there is a company (80/20) that sells industrial strength erector like parts for protyping.Anyone else remember when the Erector 8 1/2 came in a metal storage chest?

Lizzie called Michael ‘Ugly Brother’ after awhile. When our kids fought like that, we just gave them a time out. It was a little hard with our older son since he had A.D.D. But they’re all grown now and I do miss those days.

My own sons, 41 and 39, still do this.

The logical parental response to this situation is: The toy is going away NOW!
