Yes. GA works in a c.1910 economy. That $285 will pay off all the stolen cars, and they can use the remaining dimes to pay their weekly rent! Story closed! :D

They gave Slim the money and took off for “greener pastures”. Best way to kill off a bad (and too long) story, and start off the New Year right. Lets get the old gang back in a new story!

PS $500 was needed to buy a Tin Lizzie in the Depression. I doubt $300 would buy three cars. I smell rats and a diversion.

Yes, it was a quick way to end the story that was going nowhere.

I doubt that this story is over. We’ll catch the car thieves, I’m sure. Or I SURE will be disappointed.

They will continue this arc until the cars are either recovered or there is no suspicion being cast on Gasoline Alley Garage.
