I wonder what Gina’s answer going to be!!

I don’t think Nate is going to get detention. If he does get detention, I think Mrs. Godfrey will be keen and say that he has to serve it tomorrow, therefore solidifying the win of the bet between Gina and Nate.

But what I’m liking is seeing the reasonable side to Mrs. Godfrey. I lost a lot of respect for her when she served detention to Nate – for being a few seconds late after the bell – right in front of his Grandparents on Grandparent Day. I hope she makes a better judgement call and better actions that she has in the past.

Gina must have tampered with the water fountain, and mrs. Godfrey saw her do it. She wanted to get Nate in detention.-_-

It’d be kinda neat if this played into Sunday’s strip!! I know, NOT likely as lotsa folks don’t take daily & Sunday so the Sunday strips are often “outta the current weekday thread”….still: this could be yet another curve ball Lincoln might throw!! I’ll hold my Haw til then……….

Nate’s goody, goody behavior was insincere playing the teachers for suckers. Gina has essentially done the same thing showing that she too has a mean streak by betting on Nate’s behavior. I’m for detention for both of them.

Good storyline. I don’t think Gina’s getting detention, or Nate – at least not yet. Godfrey’s disappointed, but now “gets it” that Nate’s improved behaviour is just for a bet, She is disappointed in Gina for being mean-spirited – a bet where her win is for Nate to fail. Nate disappoints for being insincere – so he’s living down to previous expectations. Gina disappoints because Ms. G thought better of her.

Kudos Lincoln!! I haven’t been this attached to a comic storyline since April fell into the creek in ‘For Better or Worse’ darn near 20 years ago. Way to keep us all guessing. I still hope Nate gets to win, but either way I will tune in.

by the way, isn’t it funny how everyone is treating the characters like real people? It’s good to do that, because it means they are great characters.
