Time is a quale. A representation by ā€˜ourā€™evolutionarily constrained ā€˜humanā€™ brain.Perhaps dogs experience the situationdifferently.

Sheā€™s going to have less time for walkies with that mess to clear up, Fred, regardless of how you experience it.

Iā€™d sit near the door and give Mistress a good case of puppy dog eyes.

Thatā€™s just a dogā€™s way of saying, ā€œIā€™m bored, thereā€™s nothing to do around hereā€. Canā€™t tell the dog to do the laundry though like I was told when i said that to my mother, back in the day. The best thing to do is to just go ahead and take the dog for a walk, then with an inventive form of ā€œfetchā€, have the dog help clean up. ā€”Fetch the paper Fred, Fetch the slippers, Fetch the empty pop can Fred, you can do it boy!
