    I always thought it was funny how a comic character would go straight out from the edge of a cliff, and it was only when he REALIZED that this wasn’t going to work that he would fall straight down. I’m afraid that many people with little or no scientific literacy think this is the way nature really works. It IS funnier than reality though.
