In the month of January I will be featuring selections from “Late Bloomers,” the comic strip I created in 2006 that would be later revised and become what is now “Boomerangs.” It’s interesting to look back at it now and see how many things are similar and what is different…
…For instance, this strip places Jane’s parents center stage with Jane’s father Bob acting as a surrogate father for Skyler (Sydney isn’t yet on the scene). Also, Jane’s father Bob has a new foil in the form of his elderly neighbor Mrs. Bumbailey, and rather than wooing Mark the Coffee Guy, Jane (now a nurse) is dating Dwayne the town cop. New “Boomerangs” will resume in February, enjoy!
I have thought the same thing many times. It seemed so fast that my generation went From wonderful ideals To republicans too fast to know “what happened” and “why?” Some of us were still ready to try to make the world a better place while the rest went to lets try to make ourselves rich.I would have liked to have gotten rich too, but like to think that really would become a philanthropist like I wanted.

This strip’s time-space continuum is so unstable, it’s created past events for itself.

This is going on at Luanne, too. In a way, it’s good because it gives background info I didn’t have. But I also like the current models!

I like see earlier strips of current comics. It gives a different perspective to the strip.

This couldn’t have gone that far back… where’s the CB radios and trucker’s belt buckles? Where’s the white leisure suits?
Even worst, where’s the Atari pong?

I’m looking forward to viewing past issues—especially since I’m fairly new to this strip.
