There’s always something you CAN do and often something you SHOULD do; but when you feel like doing nothin’, nothin’ feels better than doin’ nothin’.

I’ve read articles recently about how kids now rarely sit around and “do nothing”. Doing nothing is actually good for your creativity as it allows your mind to wander and think of new things. Electronics has taken up most of that “do nothing” time, which I really hope doesn’t stifle creativity (although it probably does).

When I was Michael’s age, I watched cartoons or went outside and found things to do. When my kids were that age, they played video games or watched video movies. Elly looks defeated in that last panel as well as frustrated.
