Peter: AAAA! The TV remote is dead! AAAA! We're all out of the right batteries! AAAA! I'll have to watch one channel for the whole rest of the night!
Andy: Peter, your bedtime is in 10 minutes.
Peter: That long?! AAAA! It's worse than I thought!

that’s WAY to technical. My parents, who grew up with console TVs, fly into a panic if they can’t find a remote. In the mean time I’ve walked to the set, turned it on and found the right channel.

I"m surprise that the remote still works at all concerning just how much both Peter and Paige uses it to zip through channels.

When I was Peter’s age I had to get up, walk ALL THE WAY across the living room floor JUST to change the channel on the TV!

Surely there’s something he can get more batteries out of. Luckily remotes don’t take 9Vs.Peter, what are you doing with the smoke alarm!?

It might be worse than you think, my tv has no buttons on the console, and I must rely on remotes.

My first remote needed no batteries and could not get lost. It was always on the end of that long wire attached to the TV.

That’s true. Last time my remote went dead, I actually had to unplug the TV to turn it off.

Life has changed since 2002. Peter’s wondering how he’ll cope all night without TV, now we can watch TV on our cell phones that also take pictures, play music, play video games, tell us news and weather, send text messages and email, and still make calls.

By 16, I had no bedtime. It’s called being awesome, Peter. And doing your homework on time. You wouldn’t know about either.
