The best times in the kitchen are when my wife and I team up baking bread. We share the work, the cleanup, and the hot fresh bread right out of the oven. Yum!

Soups….stews…..mmmmmmm; best time of the year for us home cooks. Trouble is…..my wife can only take so much leftovers for herself. Did solve that problem by feeding the other 5 in her office with the “leftovers”.

I love to cook and I really do try to keep a svelte yet curvy figure. It is NOT EASY! Food does get on the floor and our two fat cats keep up with the stuff.

Maybe Arlo will make a big pot of beef-vegetable soup. All you do is put 18 cups of hot water in pot and add 18 cup of tomato paste. Then add chopped onion, allspice, bay leaves, 7 beef boullian cubes, pepper, and any other seasonings. Let it simmer two hours. Cut up three small zucchini, a small head of cabbabe, sliced carrots, quartered potatoes. sliced celery, and add them to broth. Let cook for a half hour more or until vegetables are tender. It’s great soup!

Lots is the only way to cook soup. Or chili. Or stew. Or anything on the grill.

This strip will soon be added to the dictionary, appearing next to the phrase "Freudian Slip.’
