Love the expanding kitten. My cat loved to expand, also. She would curl up in the chair beside me and expand until I was sitting on the floor! On the other hand, after “lights out” she would curl up beside my head and purr me to sleep.
Conda Cat, offspring of the Quetzal and Bubastes. Warm blooded at the front and cold blooded behind. No good at chasing mice but great at strangling them.
I can pet the dogs or cats of my friends, but I’ll always be a BIRD person. They keep proper hours and eat as I do too. I have to chase stay cats out of my back yard where they lie in wait at my bird feeders and there is someone who wants to remove leash laws in neighborhoods from dogs – fine for the dogs but not for the rest of us. Already hard to get people to scoop, and many dogs are trained to be “bird dogs” (one had Cuddles Cockatoo in his mouth before his owner and I shouted).
I think MANY people here need t oremember that this IS a comic strip, and that both cats and dogs are semi-domesticated critters. I say semi because when properly irritated, either one WILL eat you – or at least try their best to do so. The other thing to remember is that Dogs are mostly trained to slavery, while cats are rebellious, individualized, walk-on-the-wild-side citizens who don’t want to hear this “Come When I Call You” crap from any two-footed upright-walking mouth-speaking human…even if we DO give them tuna from a can.

So idyllic. A cozy fireplace and a kitty stretched out on it’s owner’s lap.

vidazzsle: Most of Peekaboo’s battles with squirrels comes from being outside prowling.
