Alice: The bathroom at Blisshaven scares me. Mom: Why? Alice: There are pipes in the corner with spiderwebs on them. Petey: I remember that! And there's a stain in the sink shaped like a monkey. Alice: No, I like the monkey stain, but I hate the spider pipes.

Spider pipes are definitely scary. I’m glad Alice is sharing this with Mom. Maybe Madeline can set in motion an upgrading of the facilities at Blisshaven. That bathroom appears to date to the 1950s, if not earlier….

I think they have one bathroom; it’s a small school.
My Gramma & Grampa had a really scary bathroom. It had pipes all over the place because the indoor plumbing had been retrofitted, PLUS the toilet was under the creaky stairs.
