in panel 3, Caulfield appears to be possessed as his eyes are deep red. would that explain his constant need to antagonize his teacher? ;P

I love the look of despair on the other kid in panel one. As you can only see the kid from the nose up, very well drawn.

“It’s 5 o’clock somewhere” is what my friend says when he wants to have a cocktail…..(Me, I just say “It’s time to have a drink!”). But I can’t blame her for having a good stiff drink after being in a small room with 30 kids all day……….AND Caulfield! ….gonna need more than two……….

I stopped double-checking my answers when I found I was far more likely to change a right answer to a wrong one than vice-versa..I consistently scored in the top couple percent on standardized tests. My actual grades were (ahem) a bit less stratospheric. Proving, once again, that the only thing a standardized test really measures is one’s ability to take a standardized test.

I work with a “Mrs. Olsen” on my job. Neither woman seems to grasp that she can expect this superior talent to come out of Caulfield (or anyone else more intelligent than her) on any given day.

In other words, Mrs. Olsen will never get accustomed to the idea that she can actually expect excellence from Caulfield tomorrow too! She will always treat him like he’s average. (Same with the woman I work with.) It’s aggravating.

Great comment on “one size fits all” schooling.

Ashburn Stadium: I had a professor who had a deadline for papers [ominous voice] “by sundown”, and it literally meant terrestrial sundown for that day.

Now the math teacher wants to chime in:If Caulfield claims to have finished three hours ago based on the premise that it’s 5 o’clock, then that would make it 2 o’clock. According to Mrs. Olsen’s statement, that hour was approaching but had not yet arrived.…not that she would have done the math. Caulfield wins, but I’d have to drop him to an A- for not checking his work.
