Fat Snoopy on a doghouse, but was there one more comic that has to come before this where Snoopy says in the last panel “I’VE DONE IT, I FORGOT HER!”? Maybe that would run tomorrow…
I remember Charles Schultz being interviewed on TV when I was a kid and he recounted his own real-life story as a young-adult and his relationship with a young lady. The story matches virtually all the major points in this series. And yes, parents forbid their marriage (and I think it might have even been on the grounds of his education). Of course the interviewer didn’t think of this series at all, but immediately asked if the young lady’s hair was red. It was.
I remember “Rubber Ball”, I have that song on my Zune. I also cannot believe that Snoopy has gone this far without doing anything about his stomach. Maybe he will in the next strip.
Turning yourself into the Goodyear blimp won’t help you move on with your life, It will only weigh you down & put you in a rut . Pick yourself up dust yourself off add some polish & show them what they missed out on, A plus for self esteem aswell.

Snoopy also reminds me of the BeeGee’s song; “Why do you have to be a heartbreaker?” Sob!

“I’ll never forget her as long as I live… What a life… You try for a little happiness, and what do you get?”
I think I’ve said that line several times over the years… I feel your pain, Snoopy!

Snoopy’s so cute in the 3rd panel! Don’t worry, there’s always someone who’s been rejected 3 times.
